Our Gargoyle Geckos
Meet our gargoyle breeders and holdbacks below! Over the years we have assembled a very unique group of gargoyles from passionate breeders all over the country. We select our gargoyles on growth rate, health, adult size, structure, body condition and confirmation before we even look at color. We even consider personality and behavior when selecting our breeders and holdbacks . Our group consists of red, orange and bicolor stripes, pastel orange stripes, pink pastels, mottled, bicolor and red blotches. We are super excited for the future with our gargoyle projects!
Cedar
In-House 2023 Production Hatch Date: 6/14/2023
Our Saoirse x Inigo holdback! Fantastic, deep blood red on red girl debuting her first season as a breeder in 2026! A lovely example of a red on red, Cedar stays fired up most the time, which is what her mom did the first 3 years or so. Cedar has inherited her mom’s incredible color and structure, and we hope she gets nice and large like her dad.

Auryn
Produced by Tailspinz Geckos Hatch Date: 11/03/2019
Red Super Stripe with yellow spectacles and light almost white fired down and light yellow-brown fired up. She also has a wide head and stout body build. Auryn is named after the magic double-snaked amulet that Cairon gave to Atreyu in the 1984 fantasy film based on the novel, “The Neverending Story.”

Static
In-House 2022 Production Hatch Date: 5/6/2022
Static is the first gargoyle we ever hatched! His red color spread is excellent and has inherited that stout body structure of both parents. His red continues to slowly spread as he ages, and looks amazing on his white fired down base.

Lady Marmalade
Produced by Pangea Reptile Hatch Date: 10/12/2022
Marmalade comes from Pangea and is a gorgeous pastel (or hypo perhaps?) with a red-pink-orange base color and super rare orange reverse bacon/bicolor striping. She has splatters of orange all over, including on her face, and exceptional head structure. She has a shorter face that is just slightly dished, well-proportioned eyes placed on a wide, triangular head, aligned bite and well-defined, prominent crests. She also has the prettiest blue eyes and random yellow spots. Fired down she is almost white but keeps her reverse bacon striping and orange splashes. She is fired up in this picture.

SunSpot

Bright orange bicolor super skeleton blotch with a pinkish/purply tones to his base color. He is from Autumn's purple base project, and he has huge blotches that sort of resemble slices of on orange when looking down at his dorsal. He has produced some of our nicest bicolor skeleton blotches to date (see Coffee, Brisket and Pluto below)! He also has mosaic-like areas to his banded patten markings.

Trouble

An amazing bicolor skeleton blotch produced by James Maidhof of Doc's Herpetofauna. This gecko is an outstanding example of a reticulated bicolor (red and orange/bacon) with skeleton/dorsal blotching and banding. She also has some unique yellow spectacles with some orange scales. Trouble is also a very large girl averaging around 75g. Her patterning also looks mosaic-like. She is taking a break for the 2026 season.

Mad Martigan

Pastel (or hypo?) orange striped boy out of Spatter x Dexter. Very unique boy with tons of orange just splattered all over his body including his face. He has some unique random yellow spots here and there, and a single red one on one of his toes. This boy has excellent head structure and beautiful blue eyes on him as well. He could be a bit bigger, and less jumpy, but we’ll be keeping the biggest, best-proportioned, and fastest growing of his kids. He has been paired to Marmalade for 2026!

Phenomenal 6-Stripe kiddo with tons of potential! He’s a gorgeous orange with intense of color saturation and bold markings. He’s taking his time growing, so we’ll see if he makes weight by year 3!

Wasabi
In-house 2024 Production Hatch Date: 6/11/2024
Bicolor Banded Skeleton Blotch out of Trouble x Diablo (see reference geckos below). Wasabi is a gorgeous boy!! He is still bicolor but leaning more red these days, but he’s still young so could keep his orange bits too. We hope to have a successful debut pairing with him and our big red stripe girl Beetlejuice in 2026! He is unrelated to most everything out there so is a genetic powerhouse.

Gizmo
Produced by Olympian Exotics Hatch Date: 2023
Gizmo is a super neat mottled Orange super blotch. He has orange spots and speckles everywhere! He fires up to a possible to a brownish-orange, and has a funky regen tail with mis-aligned striping. He brings some new blood and the mottled phenotype into our evolving blotch projects.

Beetlejuice

Huge female with a bright red pattern from the well-known Bugs x Jewel line. This girl is very big, and named by the kids! She has large, deep red rib blotching, blue eyes, yellow spectacles and is well-structured. She has laid her first duds and has been paired with Wasabi for 2026! Salem

Gorgeous little light orange/yellow mottled blotch girlie we are super excited about. She has super rare mottled patterning and lighter orange blotching, with color spots everywhere! She also has blue eyes and yellow spectacles. She has a sister that looks like her, but I have not seen any other gargs with patterning that mottled before. It will be really neat to see what she produces next year! We hope to pair her with Gizmo.

Cricket

Cricket is a gorgeous, rusty orange mosaic with very bold dorsal striping. She was a surprise baby out of Hoosier Gecko's Fog, who laid an egg just a week after arriving from Tikis Geckos. I saw her and immediately picked her up. She is a stunning little girlie and I am super happy to be working with something different.

Another stellar kiddo from 2025! Look to also be a girl so far, so this one stays here too! Coffee looks to have some great coverage and bold pattern markings as well. It’s hard to say if she’ll get a purple base as she is always fired up lol.

Merlin
Hatch Date: ~2022
Pretty and well-structured boy who has one darker eye (phantom?) and a light coral pink base color. He fires up a burnt coral pink, and is an absolute sweetie.

Evening Primrose

Pink reticulated lady with white highlighted banding and blush, blue eyes and peachy eye rings. She is a beautiful representation of a pink, who does not fire up red, but rather a bright coral and white with brown banded reticulated pattern markings.

Reference Gargoyle Geckos
Below are past breeders that we have used in our various projects but no longer have in our collection. Each has significantly contributed to our projects and have offspring and grand-offspring currently passing on their legacy.
Vulcan
Produced by Red Rhac Hatch Date: 2022
This boy is red on red! We actually won him in a giveaway and grew him out for 2 years. We included him in our red stripe project last year and hatched some extremely variable kiddos including black & white and bicolor stripes and red base super stripes. Vulcan is Squirrel's dad and though a bit on the smaller side, his color and coverage were lovely! He and Calypso are living out their best lives in huge solo terrariums in their new home.
Inigo
Produced by Steadfast Lizards Hatch Date: 2019
Inigo is a big bicolor stripe and is both Static and Cedar's father. He also had a rarer orange-pastel base coloring, and was a foundational animal to our striped project. He may not have a lot of color saturation in his stripes, but he has size, structure, growth rate, and has made some exceptional babies for us.
Diablo
Produced by Paradox Cresties Hatched: 2021
Diablo is Wasabi's dad (and Gari’s - now owned by Little Potato Dragons), and though he is on the smaller side (around 50g), he has the most gorgeous blue eyes and red blotches and scales scattered all over.
As a general note, a small gargoyle gecko to me is under 50g, as I prefer my breeders around ~70g. This is entirely a preference, but I do think being bigger, especially of proportional body length + tail + neck and head is crucial for maintaining healthy geckos.
And another note: Any animal that looks like it has a truncated (short) body, tail, or neck is petted out (if ethically possible, otherwise they stay here), and not included in our breeding program.
Saoirse

Red Super Stripe with incredible structure and a deep red base. Saoirse has red spectacles and icy light silvery eyes. She has large, prominent crowned crests, wide head, stout build, and one phantom eye due to an eye injury.
Saoirse is named after the adorable protagonist selkie child in the beautifully animated 2014 film “Song of the Sea.”
