Below are resources I use for supplies and feeders, as well as references and links to helpful articles, websites and videos. I do not make any money from any of the links or anything like that, I just love to learn and share information, especially pertaining to geckos! If any links do not work or the info is outdated, please let me know! I try my best to keep up with current standards and information, and welcome others’ input and experience!
Supplies & Feeders
My favorite places to get reptile feeders are Joshsfrogs.com, RainbowMealworms.net, and Dubia.com. I also buy locally at shows, if I go. I don’t vend at shows and at this time do not have plans to. I see it as too much of a biosecurity risk for my animals. That said, it’s a great place to buy locally-grown feeder insects and meet like-minded reptile peeps!
For Pangea gecko food (Meal Replacement) I buy locally, direct from Pangeareptile.com or on Chewy.com.
We use ReptiChip coconut husk bedding for our New Caledonian geckos as it’s affordable, doesn’t add to the depletion of ancient peat bogs, and is very clean/not dusty. It also holds moisture better than to peat or coco peat.
Some things I do get on Amazon: two of my favorite artificial plants here and here, 40ml metal ramekins for water, ceramic insect feeder dishes (best for mealworms/not good for roaches), 1/2oz sample cups that I use for feeding, and F10 veterinary disinfectant. I also really like the kraft paper cups as they can be composted too, but they are pricier. Oh! And we use these tiny little bowls for calcium and vitamin supplement dishes.
The sample cups work great when making and freezing large batches of meal replacement for gargoyles and crested geckos. They go into our compost so save us washing time and are a tiny bit more environmentally friendly than going into the trash.

Ethical Reptile Keeping is an excellent website and resource for reptile lovers, breeders and keepers around the globe.
The Reptile Super Show Incident of 2025 is another reason we don’t vend at shows. Sometimes bad vendors can cause harm to the reptile community as a whole. This is only one case, but there unfortunately are many of dead, sick, and freshly imported animals ending up at shows to be sold to the public. I do believe most shows vet their vendors, and the majority of breeders and vendors at shows are excellent and reputable.
